Total cholesterol: every measured intervention

Ranked only against the same measurement, in the same unit. See the positive, neutral, opposite-direction and still-collecting evidence before deciding what is worth your own test.

How to read this

Phoenix research is longitudinal and observational: we follow real APOE4 carriers over time and compare each member with their own earlier self, with no placebo group, no randomisation, and members choosing their own interventions.

That means these are strong signals pointing at what to test next, not proof of cause. Most nutrition, supplement and lifestyle research you read online has exactly the same design. The difference is that we say so, and we show you the confounders.

Probiotics

Repeated positive

Two curated probiotic cases lowered total cholesterol; one moved from 199 to 171 mg/dL and the other fell 17.7%.

Selected member cases

  1. Probiotic Repeat · genotype not disclosed · female · age 60-69

Total cholesterol fell 17.7%; the public report does not print the paired values.

What else changed: no nearby starts were recorded.

Next study: repeat Total cholesterol after a dated Probiotics window.

  2. Triple Mover · APOE3/4 · female · age 40-49

    199 → 171 mg/dL · -14.1% · 56 days

What else changed: no nearby starts were recorded.

Next study: repeat Total cholesterol after a dated Probiotics window.

Statin family

Positive individual result

The ApoB Ace's total cholesterol fell 41.6% in the longer statin arc; paired values and exact elapsed days were not printed.

Selected member cases

  1. ApoB Ace · APOE3/4 · female · age 60-69

Total cholesterol fell 41.6% in the longer statin arc; paired values and exact elapsed days were not printed.

What else changed: no nearby starts were recorded.

Next study: repeat Total cholesterol after a dated Statin family window.

Turn evidence into your next test

Magnesium and homocysteine is 7 members from an answer.

Forty carriers with a dated start and a repeat blood test close it. Creatine, vitamin D3 and B12 sit further back. Your next blood test is somebody else's answer, and theirs is yours.
