Estradiol patch: what it changed, and what it did not

One intervention, every measured benefit and result that did not improve in Issue 01. See who it moved for, where it stayed neutral or went the other way, and the next hypothesis Phoenix can validate.

How to read this

Phoenix research is longitudinal and observational: we follow real APOE4 carriers over time and compare each member with their own earlier self, with no placebo group, no randomisation, and members choosing their own interventions.

That means these are strong signals pointing at what to test next, not proof of cause. Most nutrition, supplement and lifestyle research you read online has exactly the same design. The difference is that we say so, and we show you the confounders.

Most promising

HDL cholesterol

Laboratory HDL cholesterol result · Aim: higher

Estradiol patch

Positive individual result

The Night Shift's HDL cholesterol moved from 32 to 41 mg/dL, about 28% higher, across six months.

Selected member cases

  1. Night Shift · APOE3/4 · female · age 50-59

HDL cholesterol rose from 32 to 41 mg/dL across six months; exact elapsed days were not printed.

What else changed: no nearby starts were recorded.

Next study: repeat HDL cholesterol after a dated Estradiol patch window.

Triglycerides

Laboratory triglyceride result · Aim: lower

Estradiol patch

Positive individual result

The Night Shift's triglycerides moved from 230 to 146 mg/dL, about 37% lower, across six months.

Selected member cases

  1. Night Shift · APOE3/4 · female · age 50-59

Triglycerides fell from 230 to 146 mg/dL across six months; exact elapsed days were not printed.

What else changed: no nearby starts were recorded.

Next study: repeat Triglycerides after a dated Estradiol patch window.

What may work against

LDL cholesterol

Laboratory LDL cholesterol result · Aim: lower

Estradiol patch

Opposite direction

The Night Shift's LDL cholesterol moved opposite the goal, rising 13% while HDL and triglycerides improved.

Selected member cases

  1. Night Shift · APOE3/4 · female · age 50-59

LDL cholesterol rose 13% across the same six-month estradiol-patch window; paired values were not printed.

What else changed: no nearby starts were recorded.

Next study: repeat LDL cholesterol after a dated Estradiol patch window.

Magnesium and homocysteine is 7 members from an answer.

Forty carriers with a dated start and a repeat blood test close it. Creatine, vitamin D3 and B12 sit further back. Your next blood test is somebody else's answer, and theirs is yours.
