How to read this

Phoenix research is longitudinal and observational: we follow real APOE4 carriers over time and compare each member with their own earlier self, with no placebo group, no randomisation, and members choosing their own interventions.

That means these are strong signals pointing at what to test next, not proof of cause. Most nutrition, supplement and lifestyle research you read online has exactly the same design. The difference is that we say so, and we show you the confounders.

Probiotics

Repeated positive

Two probiotic strains in two clean curated cases lowered LDL cholesterol by 32.7% and 26.1%.

Selected member cases

  1. Probiotic Repeat · genotype not disclosed · female · age 60-69

    157 → 116 mg/dL · -26.1% · 87 days

What else changed: no nearby starts were recorded.

Next study: A human trial supports strain-specific LDL lowering, so Phoenix should record strain and dose rather than pool every probiotic.

  2. Triple Mover · APOE3/4 · female · age 40-49

    98 → 66 mg/dL · -32.7% · 56 days

What else changed: no nearby starts were recorded.

Next study: A human trial supports strain-specific LDL lowering, so Phoenix should record strain and dose rather than pool every probiotic.

A human trial supports strain-specific LDL lowering, so Phoenix should record strain and dose rather than pool every probiotic.

How to test it

Baseline

Duration
84 days
Adherence
Record strain, dose and adherence throughout the window.
Retest
Repeat LDL cholesterol after 12 weeks.
Falsifier
A predeclared strain-specific cohort does not reproduce lower LDL cholesterol.

Creatine monohydrate

Positive individual result

One clean curated case lowered LDL cholesterol from 104 to 67 mg/dL in 83 days; an unscoped flat creatine result is not classified as LDL-neutral.

Selected member cases

  1. Fine Tuner · APOE3/4 · female · age 50-59

    104 → 67 mg/dL · -35.6% · 83 days

What else changed: no nearby starts were recorded.

Next study: Human trials leave a null result plausible, so the Phoenix case needs a predeclared replication rather than a mechanism claim.

LDL cholesterol fell 26.3% in a 42-day clean window; paired values were not printed.

What else changed: no nearby starts were recorded.

Selected member cases

  1. ApoB Ace · APOE3/4 · female · age 60-69

LDL cholesterol

Psyllium

!Record under review

LDL cholesterol moved from 263 to 78 mg/dL in 70 days, but an undated ezetimibe entry may be the real actor.

Selected member cases

  1. Fiber Surprise · APOE4/4 · female · age 50-59

    263 → 78 mg/dL · -70.3% · 70 days

What else changed: nearby starts included ezetimibe start date unknown.

Next study: Psyllium and ezetimibe both have human LDL evidence, but the Phoenix case cannot assign the observed fall while the ezetimibe start is undated.
