NCT00574132 · Phase 3 · COMPLETED
Bapineuzumab in Patients With Mild to Moderate Alzheimer's Disease (ApoE4 Non-Carrier)
This trial tested bapineuzumab, an infused antibody designed to bind and clear beta amyloid from the brain, against a placebo. It measured whether it helped thinking and daily function in people with mild to moderate Alzheimer's over about 1.5 years. It was a Phase 3 trial, a large late-stage test of whether it works and is safe, not an approved treatment.
