Study Evaluating the Safety and Efficacy of Bapineuzumab in Alzheimer Disease Patients

This trial tested bapineuzumab, an antibody drug given by infusion, against a placebo in people with mild to moderate Alzheimer's. Researchers measured safety and whether it affected thinking and daily function over about 1.5 years. It was a Phase 3 trial, a large late-stage test of whether a drug works and is safe, not an approved treatment.
