NCT07721467 · Phase 2 · RECRUITING

Neuroplasticity Enhancement From Cognitive Training Reinforced by Psilocybin

Sponsor: National Institute on Aging (NIA)

This Phase 2 trial is testing whether cognitive training on a tablet, combined with one or two doses of psilocybin (the compound in psychedelic mushrooms), improves brain function in adults 65 and older — either those with early-stage Alzheimer's or with normal cognition. Phase 2 means researchers are studying whether the combination works and is safe, not that it is proven or approved. One group gets both psilocybin and training; the other gets training alone.
