NCT07264439 · RECRUITING

Evaluation of the Effectiveness of Virtual Reality Headsets With Hypnotic Scenarios for Hygiene Care in Patients With Alzheimer's Disease or Related Disorders With Behavioral Disturbances

This trial tests whether a virtual reality headset playing calming, hypnosis-style scenes can ease anxiety and resistance during bathing and hygiene care. It compares the headset to standard care in nursing home residents who already have Alzheimer's or a related disorder. It is a device study with no phase, so it is about feasibility and comfort.

You may qualify if

  • Residents of the St-Victor center (CHU Amiens-Picardie), including nursing home units, reinforced care units, and long-term care units;
  • Patients diagnosed with ADRD presenting opposition or agitation during hygiene and toileting care;
  • Affiliation to a social security scheme,
  • Informed consent signed by the patient or legal representative.

You're excluded if

  • Residents in terminal palliative care.

The sponsor's own eligibility wording, lightly reformatted. The study team makes the final eligibility decision — worth discussing with your doctor.
