NCT05396248 · RECRUITING

Improve New Learning and Memory in Individuals With Mild Cognitive Impairment

This trial tests whether a structured memory retraining program helps older adults with amnestic mild cognitive impairment (MCI) learn and remember new information. It also looks at everyday functioning, long-term effects, and booster sessions. Some people get placebo memory exercises for comparison. The phase is not applicable because it is a behavioral study, not a drug trial.

You may qualify if

  • 60 or older.
  • read and speak English fluently.
  • Research based diagnosis of Amnestic Mild Cognitive Impairment

You're excluded if

  • prior stroke or neurological injury/disease (i.e. traumatic brain injury, Multiple Sclerosis, or Stroke).
  • history of significant psychiatric illness (for example, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, or psychosis).
  • significant alcohol or drug abuse history (inpatient treatment).
  • Benzodiazepines and steroid use
