NCT07883746 · NOT YET RECRUITING

Remote Digital Assessments for Cognitive Disorders

This study tests MonitorCog-AI, a computer-based tool that uses AI to look at how people think, speak, move their eyes, and use a mouse. It checks whether this can tell healthy adults from those with MCI or Alzheimer's, and track change over 12 months. No drug is involved. The phase is not specified, so this is an early tool-testing study with 60 people.

You may qualify if

  • Age 50 years or older.
  • Sufficient English literacy to complete study assessments.
  • Capacity to provide informed consent.
  • Ability to attend in-person study assessments.
  • Healthy controls: Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA) score >26 and no history of a DSM-5 neurocognitive disorder.
  • Mild cognitive impairment (MCI) group: meets DSM-5 criteria for mild neurocognitive disorder based on clinical adjudication.
  • Alzheimer's disease (AD) group: meets DSM-5 criteria for major neurocognitive disorder due to AD based on clinical adjudication.

You're excluded if

  • Major psychiatric, neurological, or unstable medical condition that may interfere with study participation.
  • Recent psychotropic medication changes likely to affect cognition.
  • Current or recent substance-use disorder.
  • Uncorrectable visual impairment that would interfere with computerized assessment.
  • Motor impairment preventing use of a mouse or touchpad.
  • Participation in a conflicting interventional clinical trial.
