NCT07114458 · RECRUITING

Delirium and Cognitive Impairment Development in Hospitalized Older Adults Under Isolation Conditions

This observational study looks at whether older hospital patients kept in isolation, often because of drug-resistant bacteria, are more likely to develop delirium or lose some thinking ability. Researchers compare them with similar patients not in isolation. Delirium is screened twice daily. Thinking skills are tested before and six weeks after discharge. Nothing is being tested or given, so there is no phase.
