NCT05915377 · RECRUITING

Researching Efficient Approaches to Delirium Identification-Sustaining Effective Translation

This trial tests whether nurses can reliably screen hospitalized adults 70 and older for delirium (sudden confusion) every day using a short tool called the UB-CAM built into the electronic health record. It tracks accuracy, patient and care partner experience, and complications like falls. It is not a drug trial, so no phase applies.

You may qualify if

  • General medicine (hospitalist) service
  • Age 70 or older
  • Expected hospital length of stay of 3 or more days

You're excluded if

  • Inability to communicate adequately in English
  • Admitted for terminal care
