NCT05603533 · RECRUITING

Adherence by Music to Exercise in Dementia: Group Therapy

This study tests a group exercise program set to music and guided by video. Researchers want to see whether it affects motivation, physical function, thinking skills, and well-being in older adults with moderate dementia living in nursing homes. It is not a drug study. It has no formal phase, so it is not a test of a medicine.

You may qualify if

  • Men and women with moderate dementia (MMSE between 12 and 20)
  • Age 65 years or older
  • Resident in nursing home for at least 30 days
  • Able to stand (supported) for 10 seconds with supervision

You're excluded if

  • Inadequate functional hearing
  • Uncorrected visual problems
  • Rehabilitating from an orthopedic or neurologic insult
  • Known disability that significantly influences 6 month prognosis

The sponsor's own eligibility wording, lightly reformatted. The study team makes the final eligibility decision — worth discussing with your doctor.
