NCT07843888 · NOT YET RECRUITING

The Effectiveness of a Caregiver-Based Multicomponent Intervention to Prevent Pressure Ulcers in Home-Cared-For Individuals With Dementia

This trial tests whether a 12-week program for family caregivers can lower the risk of pressure sores in people with dementia who are cared for at home. The program includes training, daily checklists, weekly coaching, and text reminders. Researchers track sore risk and new sores. It is not a drug trial, so the phase label does not apply.

You may qualify if

  • Individuals clinically diagnosed with dementia,
  • Home-cared for,
  • At risk of pressure ulcers (Braden Pressure Ulcer Risk Assessment Scale ≤18),
  • Having at least one primary caregiver, and the caregiver agreeing to participate in the study.

You're excluded if

  • Presence of stage 3 or 4 pressure ulcer,
  • Hospitalisation within the last month.

The sponsor's own eligibility wording, lightly reformatted. The study team makes the final eligibility decision — worth discussing with your doctor.
